User Orientation Programme, 2017

Objective:  This programme is concerned with providing guidance and instruction to the new-comers as well as the library users for the proper use of library collections and services individually or collectively. It helps users about the resources available in the library and enables them to enjoy the search of information. Date,Time,Place:  7^th Aug,2017 in a classroom of the college.  Department:  Organized by Duliajan Girls’ College Library. Participants Involved: Students of T.D.C. 1^st Semester. Brief description/Summary of event:  Every year at the beginning of new session, library orientation is given to the fresh students of H.S. 1^st year and T.D.C.1^st Semester of the college. This year also, Library user education programme is done by the librarian to the new-comers on 7^th Aug, 2017.Librarian taught them about the rules and regulations of the library, about different collections available in the library, process of borrowing books and different matters related to library. They were advised and invited to use the library and swim into the ocean of knowledge.
