Celebration of National Librarians’ day, 2021
Objective: Basic objective of the celebration is to pay homage to Dr. S.R.Ranganathan, the Father of Library Science in India and to aware the students about his contribution to the field of library Science. Date,Time,Place: 12th Aug.2021 on Web Platform Google Meet from 10:30a.m. Department: Organized by Duliajan Girls’ College Library. Participants Involved: About 79 nos. of students and faculty of Duliajan Girls’ College family participated in the meeting. Brief description/Summary of event: In the meeting, Librarian of Dibru College,Dibrugarh Ms. Dipika Das delivered her speech on the topic “Relevance of Dr. Ranganathan’s life and ideology in present time” as a guest lecturer. At first, convener of the programme Raju Rani Saikia,Librarian of DGC focused on the importance of the day. Followed by principal Dr.Lakhimi Phukon delivered her inaugural speech by welcoming the guests and participants.
